Main Upgrades from the Previous Year

One of the main upgrades for this year was to turn standard what was optional in 2022. There’s a new package, the S Plus, which comes with mobile compatibility (both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto). The visuals have also been updated -- the 2023 lineup comes with a new front fascia, a new design for its traditional V-motion grille, a new wheel design, and a new colour for the upper trims: grey sky pearl.

Interior Layout and Options

All models come with cloth seat trim, sun visors with vanity mirrors, rear under-seat heated ducts, and three 12v USB ports. There’s an automatic climate control system for the SV and SR models, as well as passenger seat pockets, wireless chargers, heated front seats, chrome interior door handles, and centre vents with black accents.

The SV and SR models also have foldable rear seats. Only the flagship SR model has a leather-wrapped steering wheel, SR seat fabric, chrome shift knob accent and parking brake button.

Exterior Layout and Options

All trims come with fog lamps and automatic headlamps with a delay timer. The entry-level S trim comes with 15-inch steel wheels, black resin door handles, black resin exterior mirrors and halogen headlamps. The SR has some exclusive features, such as V-shape darkened chrome grille at the front, a body-coloured lid spoiler on the trunk, and an SR-grade emblem (trunk and grille). The exterior mirrors come with integrated side turn signals for this model.

Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity

The basic models come with an 8-inch touchscreen display, while the flagship model has a 9-inch display. All models come with Google Assistant, Siri Eyes Free, an interface for iPod, a hands-free text messaging assistant, Bluetooth streaming audio, and hands-free phone assistance.

The SV and SR are compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SR has a 6-speaker sound system and SiriusXM satellite radio; the other models have 4-speaker systems and AM/FM radio.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

The new Versa has more standard safety features than any other model in the same class. It also has other class-exclusive features, such as rear automatic braking and intelligent cruise control. There’s also a long list of driving assists available for all models, like lane departure warning, high beam assist, automatic emergency braking (with pedestrian detection), rear cross-traffic alert, and blindspot warning.
